*Zhu Bajie is a character in the Chinese novel Journey to the West, Zhu means "swine" and Bajie means "eight precepts", also named Zhu Wuneng. Wuneng is well versed in 36 heavenly Transformations, his weapon was Nine-toothed rake made by Lord Lao Zi.

*Zhu Bajie originally held the title of “Marshal Canopy” when he was a heavenly marshal, commander-in-chief of 80,000 Heavenly Navy Soldiers. After he attempted to seduce goddess of the Moon, he was exiled from Heaven and sent to be reincarnated on Earth, and was reborn as a man-eating pig-monster in Yunzhan Cave. After was enlightened by Guanyin, Bajie was adopted into the Gao family, and waiting for Tang Sanzang. Meantime he had a crush on Miss Gao, but he revealed the swine nose and ears on the night of the wedding when he was drunk. He locked Miss Gao in the cave when he was forced to divorce. When Tang and Sun arrived, Sun Wukong beat Zhu Bajie and then Tang Sanzang accepted him as the second disciple and gave him the name “Bajie”. Then Bajie joined in protecting Tang Sanzang on his journey to the west for scriptures. Along the way, Sun Wukong and Zhu Bajie, Sha Wujing Decline demon and evils and experienced enough difficults, Bajie caused some troubles because of his base desires but finally help obtained the true scriptures, so he still got the titled with "Cleanser of the Altars" .
