Sha Wujing, also known as Monk Sha, is one of the main characters in Journey To The West. It turned out to be the General Juanlian of the upper world, but he was demoted to Liusha River because he accidentally broke the glass lamp. Then he ate passers-by in Liusha River. After being enlightened by Guanyin, he was given the name "Wujing" and waited for the arrival of Monk Tang in Liusha River. After that, he went to the West with Sun Wukong and Zhu Bajie to protect Monk Tang. Finally, he was named "golden arhat" by the Buddha.
